World around us is full of illusions so there is nothing surprising that the designers also deceive us sometimes, – with the good aims. It is known that it is important not to be but to seem. The mirrors visually enlarge the area of placements and make it more spacious and lighter, wall papers with optical illusions give the special appeal to the interior and prints-illusions will cheer up both adults and children. The designers from studio ClarkeHopkinsClarke Architects thought out one more illusion for home: uncommon shelf Bias of Thoughts.

The original name of this project appeared because it is quite difficult to understand how many “stores” has the construction, three or four? According to the left side, – four, and if you look at the right side you start to doubt that you counted the shelves correctly. Where is the truth?

The truth is that this is the optical illusion, visual deception which the designers-originals gave to their creation under the leading of the author of the project John Leung. Fishbol is a multidisciplinary design studio which was formally established in 2005 by design-duo Elie Nehme and Mani Mani – both graduates of Carleton School of Architecture and

University of Toronto’s faculty of Architecture, Landscape & Design.
