The result of work of twenty of the world’s leading women interior designers get together became the Pink Wishbone Project, a charity organized by New York furniture dealers Suite New York to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

SUITE New York’s co-principals Kris Fuchs and Maria Sepulveda’s enlisted the group to create one-of-a-kind cushions for Hans Wegner’s legendary Wishbone chair, which will then be auctioned off to benefit the foundation. The project will kick-off with a cocktail party at New York’s Barneys department store on October 7 that BCRF founder Evelyn Lauder, herself a breast cancer survivor, is set to attend.

The twenty chairs will be on display and will later be auctioned with 100 percent of the proceeds to benefit BCRF. Kelly Behun, Sheila Bridges, Alexandra Champalimaud, Neisha Crosland, Lulu deKwiatkowski, Tori Golub, Alexa Hampton, Allegra Hicks, Julie Hillman, Annie Kelly, Celerie Kemble, Kit Kemp, Laura Kirar, Amy Lau, Katie Lydon, Emma Jane Pilkington, Sara Rotman, Ruthie Sommers, Kelly Wearstler, and Bunny Williams have all donated cushions of their design.

A pink version of Wishbone chair, the first time it has been offered in the color, will also be available at SUITE New York exclusively for one year, with 20 percent of its sales going to BCRF.

“B.C.R.F. has been assertive in finding a cure for breast cancer in a strategic and global manner. The foundation donates 90 percent of the money it raises to research,” says Fuchs. “Founder Evelyn Lauder is an iconic New York business women, someone Maria and I identify with. It is our honor to assist her and her foundation in anyway possible to help find a cure for this disease which affects so many.”

Of course, the desk is unconceivable without a chair. Which one to choose – on the castors or on the legs, with high bag or not, soft or hard – you should decide. The main thing is to check whether it is comfortable for you to sit on it.
